I design products people actually want to use and teams that know how to build them.
Hi, I'm Cath. A London-based product designer with 13+ years of experience turning complex problems into clear, considered digital experiences.
My work lives at the intersection of UX research, UI craft, and product strategy. I believe the best design outcomes happen when designers are in the room early, not handed a brief at the end.
What I Do
I specialise in the kinds of design challenges that require more than good taste. Over the past decade, I've worked embedded within start-up and scale-up teams in the fintech space, including Octopus Money, RateSetter, and Juno. I've designed SaaS products, consumer apps, and the design systems that hold them together.
I'm the designer you bring in when you need someone who can hold the big picture and sweat the details. Someone who can talk to your users, challenge your assumptions, and ship work that holds up.
My specialisms include:
UX Research & Strategy: understanding what users actually need, not just what they say they want.
UI & Visual Design: interfaces that are intuitive, accessible, and polished.
Design Systems: scalable, documented, and built for teams to grow with.
Web & SaaS Products: end-to-end product design across complex digital ecosystems.
A Bit of Background
The name Monkey Police has a history. Back in the 90s, while studying graphic design, my friends and I created an interactive comic under that name, which was hand-drawn, then animated with early Adobe tools. It was my first taste of combining storytelling, illustration, and technology to create something that pulled people in.
That curiosity never left. It just grew up and got very interested in fintech.
Let's talk
Whether you're scaling a product team, rethinking your design foundations, or looking for a senior designer who can hit the ground running. I'd love to hear what you're working on!
